Yeah, it is directed by Tobe Hooper who directed The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Poltergeist and the Salem's Lot mini-series.

The movie is set in a funhouse but it isn't a psycho clown that is stalking and killing the teenagers, it is a disfigured man who wears a Frankenstein mask throughout the first half of the movie. It is a great film, very underrated.

I live in the UK and I'm very happy that The Funhouse is getting such a great release, Arrow releases such great DVDs of classic horror films. I managed to pick up the uncut version of Silent Night, Deadly Night from them, it seems that each one of their DVDs comes with a foldout poster and an insert explaing how the film was made, it is usually written by critics or someone who had something to do with the film. The UK always gets good releases such as...

The Evil Dead Trilogy (4 Disc)
Hellraiser I - III (4 Disc) also available in a Lament Configuration set
Phantasm (5 Disc) also available in a Phantasm Sphere set
And much more.

You could still get it. Blu-Rays are now region-free and should play on any Blu-Ray player or PS3, you just need to buy the item off of eBay or Amazon. I buy DVDs from the USA all the time.

The Funhouse is considered a cult classic, yes.

I buy most of my DVDs online, there are some great online exclusives out there. DVDs are also much cheaper to buy online than buying it from a store. I don't really buy much Blu-Rays, I feel that the quality of DVDs are good enough. Some Blu-Rays have a very grainy picture though and the DVD version has a much better picture.
